SpeedContracts Installation & Setup Guide

INSTALL from WEBSITE:

  1. Visit our Download page at www.PowerToolsSoftware.com.
  2. Select the link to download SpeedContracts File.
  3. Download the Installation File “SpeedContractsInstall.exe” to the folder of your choice.
  4. Use Start | Run to run the file “SpeedContractsInstall.exe“.

CHANGE YOUR EXCEL SECURITY SETTINGS

  1. Please Note: You only need to do this once.
  2. Open Microsoft Excel to a blank spreadsheet.
  3. On the menu bar, select “Tools”, then “Macro”, then “Security”.
  4. Select the tab labeled “Security Level”.
  5. Change the Security Level to “Medium”.
  6. Select “Okay”.
PLEASE SET EXCEL’s
SECURITY LEVEL
TO MEDIUM

Changing to Medium Level Security permits SpeedContracts to operate.
3 OPEN the SPEEDCONTRACTS FOLDER

  1. Double-Click the icon named SpeedContracts on your desktop.
  2. This will open a window that will display your SpeedContracts files.

START SPEEDCONTRACTS

  1. Double-Click the file named SpeedContracts Master File.xls.
  2. This will start Microsoft Excel and open the SpecWriter Master File.
  3. VERY IMPORTANT: Select Enable Macros if requested.
PLEASE REMEMBER
TO ENABLE MACROS
IF PROMPTED

Enabling the Macros permits SpeedContracts to operate.
5 SET the SCREEN RESOLUTION

  1. In SpeedContracts, select Settings on the menu bar.
  2. Select Program Settings from the drop-down menu.
  3. Under Screen Resolution, select the setting that matches your monitor.
  4. Select OK.   (You can change this setting at any time)
  5. More detailed information on these settings is available in the Settings Menu section of the SpeedContracts Manual.
6 ENTER YOUR COMPANY INFORMATION

  1. Select Settings on the menu bar.
  2. Select Contractor Information from the drop-down menu.
  3. Enter your company information as requested.
  4. Select OK.   (You may change this information at any time)
  5. More detailed information on these settings is available in the Settings Menu section of the SpeedContracts Manual.
7 SAVE the MASTER FILE

  1. Select File on the menu bar.
  2. Select Save to Hard Drive from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select Yes at the 1st caution message.
  4. Select OK at the 2nd caution message.
  5. SpeedContracts has been customized, saved, and is now ready to use.
